What if the story from Stranger Things got a dark ending?

It's been a while since I haven't posted anything on this sub, and here's a crazy story I came up with and would love to share with you.

I am a big fan of this show and I just love the idea behind the Upside Down, and I was curious to know what would happen if the story went another way.

So, here's what we know about the show (if you haven't watched it, just go for it, it's amazing). The story takes place in Hawkins, an industrial city in Indiana. It's the year 1983 and it's autumn. A young boy named Will Byers has just disappeared, and it's been more than a week since.

His mother, Joyce Byers, doesn't care much about her son's disappearance as long as she can get some compensation. I'm not really sure what forces drive her but she's definitely not as caring and gentle as in the show.

About that week, a girl named Eleven has escaped from a lab in Hawkins and has run into Mike, Dustin, and Lucas in the forest.

These three kids are the best of friends, but they are really mean towards Eleven. They don't really care about her and are mostly interested in the fact that she can kill. Eleven is not really this super smart and hyper empathic character she is in the show. She's more of a wild animal who doesn't really understand humans. She is so scared that she doesn't even talk and just growls at them the first time she meets them. Even after the first days she spends with them, she is still not able to talk to them.

One day, she kills a little girl in the forest by mistake as she mistakes her for a monster. She then runs away as the boys don't want anything to do with her. She then meets Will in the forest who doesn't seem really scared of her. At first, she wants to kill him but he seems different and she then starts to feel comfortable around him. They then wander in the forest together.

Back in Hawkins, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas are found guilty of the death of the little girl as they didn't want to tell the truth about Eleven. Dustin is the most affected as the little girl had big feelings for him. This event will completely change his personality and make him more violent.

Eleven and Will start to get closer and Eleven starts to feel comfortable enough to talk to Will. Will is not this overly nice, smiling boy he is in the show, but more of a sensible man who's somehow more mature than Eleven.

One day, Eleven and Will are stalked by the Demogorgon, who kills Will in an extremely violent way, leaving Eleven alone in the forest. Eleven, being extremely sensible, goes insane after Will's death and becomes extremely violent. She then starts to kill anything that crosses her path.

A few days later, Eleven is found by a group of hunters who instantly kill her as she's a threat to their safety, but not before she kills one of them.

Back in Hawkins, the events in the forest trigger a lot of disappearances and murders, making inhabitants of Hawkins live in terror and fear. The government, who's obviously aware of what's happening, decides to evacuate the town. Mike, Dustin, and Lucas are sent to a facility in order to cure them from their "schizophrenia" and are then placed in a foster family.

Even though the story is quite dark, I would love to know what you think and how you would have conceived this dark take on Stranger Things.
