Let's be brutally honest about improved sales after a mass shooting.

I've been in the industry for over 7 years, and I've done a lot of thinking about what really drives sales and what is just a bunch of BS.

From what I've seen, a mass shooting is always really good for sales. The media runs with it, anti-gun politicians run with it, and people interested in guns both go out and buy more guns. Are you pro-gun? Better stock up before this administration bans the AR. Are you anti-gun? Better go out and buy that pistol you've been thinking about now before you can't.

I've seen sales skyrocket after a mass shooting. Some of the best months of sales I've had were when Obama was president and there was a mass shooting. It shoots up for a bit, and then it drops when the story leaves the media. It always really bothered me because if I'm being brutally honest, I sell guns for a living because I really like guns, but I don't want to profit off of a mass shooting. From what I've seen, sales skyrocketing after a mass shooting is the norm for a gunstore.

This industry really disgusts me sometimes.
