Know the difference between "Zionist" and "Israeli".

Hi. I recently came here and noticed many posts with anti Israeli comments and anti Zionist comments.<br><br>First of, the usual "I'm not against Israelis, I'm just against Israel". That's like someone coming to me and saying "I'm not against Germans, I'm just against Germany".<br><br>A Israeli is a citizen of Israel. Just like a German is a citizen of Germany. The implication of "I'm not against israelis, im just against Israel" is like saying "I'm not against germans but I want all of Germany to burn in flames with all the germans inside".<br><br>And now, the difference between "Zionist" and "Israeli". A Zionist is someone who supports the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state where Jews can flee from persecution and become self dependent instead of being reliant on others to keep them safe. A Israeli is someone who lives in or was born in Israel. An Israeli can be Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze, etc. And an Israeli is not necessarily someone who supports Israel. It's like how not every American is a patriot or cares for the well-being of the United States.<br><br>An Israeli can be an anti Zionist. Like the Israeli Arab parties in parliament who don't want a Jewish state. They want Israel to become a state of all its citizens where there's no preference to Jews. But they still call themselves Israelis and identify with Israel. The same goes for some Israeli Jews who are against Zionism. They support the destruction of Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian Arab state where Israelis will become second class citizens. (Not something I would want personally, but some "Israeli"s think like that).<br><br>The term "Zionist" is often used by antisemites to describe Israelis. Like "Zionist pigs" or "Zionist entity" (the latter is mostly used by Arabs to describe Israel). It's used by people who want Israel to burn in flames and all Israelis to die.<br><br>So know the difference between the two. A Zionist is someone who supports Israel's right to exist, an Israeli is a citizen or someone born in Israel.
