AITA for calling my son "the bad seed"?

I have 3 kids. Oldest is a girl, then a boy, then another girl. We always knew there was something different about volume of the kids. The girls are both quiet and respectful. My son however, is notoriously difficult.

He bites, hits, and kicks. He spits on people and he steals. When he was about 2 he threw my cat down the stairs and after that, we could tell that the cat was living in fear of him.

We sought professional help, we tried therapy, training, etc. It didn't really make a dent in how he acted.

My other two seem to live in fear of their brother and I can't say I blame them. My husband is convinced that if we "show how much we love him it will help", and while I understand the reasoning, with no results after years of this, I don't think that's the case.

That being said, of course we love him anyway. However, I am sick and tired of tiptoeing around the elephant in the room. He is my "Bad Seed", and he brings a lot of stress into our lives and tears down the other two with his awful actions and the manner in which he treats them.

Yesterday we were talking and he threw a glass of milk at his sister. It smashed and spilled all over her and the cat. I snapped and I just said "you're my bad seed, what more did you expect from yourself?".

He started crying, but we were all relieved. My husband is furious, and thinks I went too far. My kids seem happier, strangely.
