Day 1: Learning languages is time consuming

I just finished Duolingo and I didn't feel like I gained anything from it. Also, I'm learning Japanese and I need to learn Chinese characters and pronounciation. Then I need to learn Japanese pronounciation. I still have to learn real Japanese, which is going to take years and many books. I feel like I'm in school again.
