What do you do when you do not know what to do?

Two days ago I went into a meeting to discuss a project. I left the meeting with a list of 7 things to do.<br><br>For the last two days I have done nothing besides read documentation for two of the 7 items on my list.<br><br>I don't really know how to describe what I have done the last two days besides read documentation. I have done nothing else. <br><br>What do I do besides keep reading?<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit: Thanks to everyone for your advice. <br><br>I just ran into the senior engineer that my team is working with. I asked him if he had ever done anything like this before. <br><br>He laughed and said he did this exact same thing 5 years ago.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit #2: I have a meeting with a member of the team tomorrow. <br><br>I gave him a brief overview of the work the meeting and have a bunch of questions prepared. <br><br>This has not been a good last 2 days for my productivity. <br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit #3: 20 minutes into the meeting and I have 5 additional questions to ask.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit #4:<br><br>I have 7 questions to ask the relevant parties.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit #5: I had another meeting with my manager.<br><br>I have a plan for Monday.<br><br>And I have a request to add a lot of users to a Jira account.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit #6: My plan for today is to do some work coding.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit #7: 5 hours later I am writing code.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit #8: I have a response to one of my 7 questions. <br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit #9: I had another meeting with upper management.<br><br>I have a plan for one of the additional projects.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit #10: I am still coding.
