If you want to help women, and you are a man, you need to start with other men

It's made my blood boil to see all these women coming out of the woodwork to say things like "women and children first" and "I'm here for the children, because they are my future".

Now, I am a woman. I am a survivor of more than one abuse, and I frankly, have done more of the work of walking mothers through this transition than I can count at this point. I've done more than my fair share of work in this area. So I'm speaking here as someone with a pretty wide-angle lens in this area.

I want you to imagine that there are women posting, right now, that they would rather NAMBLA or Jeffery Dahmer be released than women (not even just mothers, but women) and simply because we are women.

We have been called vaginas, holes, suicide, all manner of slurs and hatred. The hatred is all out in the open now.

You want to help women? You need to fix your own people.

You need to tell your other men they need to respect women. They ought to care for us, more than they care for their own lives. We're being told we're on par with fetuses and we should be grateful for their care and their benevolence.

I am sick to my stomach over this, and I am not the only woman.

If you want to fix the world, if you want to help women, you need to fix the other men. We can't do this on our own.
