Can you still teach w/o a full teaching certificate but just the emergency certificate?

I had some questions that maybe you nice teachers can answer and it would be a huge help. I’m still in my student teaching semester. My Jan-Feb I had a category 1 student teaching and that’s the type of teaching I want to do and I will finish my program in Dec with my student teaching. However, the district my student teaching is at may have a job opening come Dec. They are thinking of quitting at Christmas break and my student teaching supervisor thinks I would be a great fit for this position.<br><br>However, I don’t finish my program until Dec and won’t have my full teaching certificate until then. They can hire me with an emergency teaching certificate, but will I be able to teach without a full teaching certificate? I would get my full teaching certificate in Dec and can they just switch my emergency certificate to a full teaching certificate come Dec?<br><br>TIA for your help.
