r/relationship_scare is a good example of people that have replaced reality with ai. It basically comes down to "ai says my partner is doing this it's real"

I'd say around 20% of the recent posts on r/relationship_scare are centered around ai saying something is wrong or indicating there is cheating.

After reading a few of them it seems that most of them don't have any real evidence at all. In which case why are they believing the ai and questioning their real life partners? I'm not sure.

In addition to that, I don't think ai is good enough at this point to make judgments on people's behavior or relationships. A lot of times ai is extremely wrong and people are basically confirming that in the comments. So why do they think ai is better than real people?

Humans have to use their own judgements and perceive things in their own reality. While ai is essentially an extension of our minds, it is not our minds. It does not see or perceive reality as we do. It has a very narrow view and perspective in which it is not entirely accurate.

I also don't see a future where ai is considered more accurate than human perception. At that level it would basically be indistinguishable from a human's perception which is not going to happen. So these people that are relying on ai to perceive reality are just deluding themselves.

I don't know thankfully I've never been the type to blindly trust ai for absolutely everything under the sun. It's extremely dumb to do that.

Edit: I'm a super ai enthusiast and am for the technology and have made some great things with it. I just don't think it's entirely accurate to base your life decisions on the things it says. It's good for getting ideas or getting an outside perspective of something. But I don't think it's to the point where it can perceive reality just as accurately as a human. I also don't see ai being that accurate anytime soon.
