That’s fair enough. We all go through lacking motivation, but what really gets me is that so many people talk about the importance of mental health but don’t put in the work to try and stop it.

And I’m not talking about the ones who desperately need help. That’s a whole other issue in of itself. I’m talking about the people who posts “oh, school is so harmful to mental health.” But when they have the opportunity to better their lives, they instead waste their time. Hating their lives, and hating everyone else and the world for it. Though these aren’t usually the people who talk about mental health.

The point is, if you want to change something, then change it. Take the steps. What’s the alternative, sitting around eating Doritos and watching Netflix until you figure out you should be a doctor or something? It’s ridiculous.

People have a very open attitude that school “isn’t for everyone”. Nowhere near number of people go to college, but at least they’re trying. And those who don’t want to can still get a degree from a quality university online, from other countries or at home. Why is it no one knows this? And why is it that people say they want to change something but do nothing when they get the opportunity?

I’m just a bit confused because I don’t understand how it seems like such a big leap to most people.
