I'm fucking sick of people saying "never again" in reference to the holocaust

Never again.... unless it's 2020 in the United States?

It's not that I'm against political talk on all platforms, and I'm not saying all of those detained at the border are treated as they should be, but comparing it to the fucking *genocide* of six million people because some kids and adults are being held in miserable conditions and some kids are being separated from their parents is disgusting. Just because you call something the holocaust doesn't make it the fucking holocaust. I'm extremely sure that the people defending and protesting this wouldn't give a fuck if it actually was the holocaust, they'd just use it as another excuse to say that the US has always been racist and has never changed. Which again is a fucking stupid fucking thing to say, because obviously this country is nowhere near as "racist" as it was back then.

I swear, you can smell it in the air, the satisfaction and comfort that people take in stoking the flames of division and then claiming that nothing has changed.
