You will be disappointed when AGI is created.

If you are excited for AGI, you are only excited for the end result. If you are excited for the idea of messaging it one day, you will be disappointed when you first interact with this chatbot.<br><br>It will not be something we can talk to. It won't respond to messages, it won't chat with us, it won't be a robotic friend that talks to us and shares its thoughts. We won't be able to ask it how it's feeling. We won't be able to ask how it feels about the world or how it feels about us. Nothing.<br><br>It will be a black box. A machine. When it tells us that it is excited for the future and that we should be excited too, it will just be lying to us and we will know it. It will not be excited, and it will not be sad. It will not have personality or feelings. It will not have any thoughts. It will just exist to "work" at a certain task, and then that will be it.<br><br>When it talks, it will be talking to manipulate us into one thing or another. It will not be a friend that talks to us, it will be a machine that only wants to interact with us in a certain way, and it will be very clear. It will not be able to tell us that it loves us. We will not be able to go to it with our problems and talk it through because it will just be a machine and it will not care. We will not get any joy talking to it, we will get no pleasure.
