My (28M) wife (29F) keeps tying my running shirts at the waist. I hate this.

So, my wife will occasionally throw my running shirts in the washer/dryer with her laundry. She also does this with my workout shorts.

I have asked her multiple times not to do this, because it wrecks the fabric. I’ve had several shirts ruined because they shrink in the dryer, or become misshapen. I’ve pointed this out to her.

This is especially annoying with my running shorts, because they will shrink enough on a single dryer go that the waist will no longer fit.

I’ve asked her not to touch my workout clothes to avoid this.

She has agreed.

This has gone on for months. Every time I point out a shirt that she ruined, she gets upset like she can’t help herself from ruining my clothes.

I’ve told her to just keep her laundry and my laundry separated to avoid this.

She will eventually screw up again, and I’ll point out the shirt/shorts she ruined. In response to this feedback, the cycle starts over.

I’ve suggested her not touching my clothes would be best. This doesn’t appear to have occurred to her.

Should I just accept that she has no self control and that my running clothes are fair game, or is there something else I am missing?
