Companies like Facebook, Apple, and Google should not be able to pay out multi million dollar severance packages for their employees to avoid a lawsuit.

There have been many cases where companies like Google, Facebook, Apple, and Amazon, etc, have offered their employees millions of dollars to avoid potential lawsuits. Like I remember Google paying a few of its ex-employees tens of millions to make sure they didn’t get sued over sexual harassment claims. The reason companies are willing to do this is they know their pockets are incredibly deep and they have so much money that they can do this. If they hire a lawyer for millions of dollars, it is still just millions of dollars to them. You’ll just end up burning out and not being able to hire a lawyer good enough to suit their pockets. And so they can get away with doing whatever they want.

There have been plenty of other cases where companies have offered their employees millions not to talk about things about the companies, like such as Uber. And companies have offered out of court settlements for millions of dollars as well. Companies should not have the ability to do this. Tons of other companies do this as well. We should have more laws against these huge corporations and the lawyers they use to silence their employees.
