How do we prove that the sun moves in a straight line?

For centuries, everyone believed the sun moved in a straight line, but then Galileo came along and proposed a new theory that the Earth moved in circles around the sun, and we believed him.<br><br>My question is how do we know that is true. How can we prove the path of the sun is circular?
