Anybody else want to just bang their head against the wall when people disparage AI?

As a kid I heard it all the time about Apple: “Oh it’s so expensive and closed, nobody uses those for real work, etc etc”. The same shit is being said about AI from non-AI people. When I see it day in and day out, I think the best course of action is just to wait it out. Eventually the haters won’t have a leg to stand on.
