What If Earth is like one of those uncontacted tribes in South America that everyone knows is there but they don't want to contact them because they know that it will disrupt everything and likely lead to their extinction?

We have been to the moon and back. Yet we have never made contact with any other intelligent life. Even Elon Musk said that he believes that advanced civilizations probably go into a "quiet mode" at some point to avoid making contact with the rest of the world because they believe that making contact with an intelligent species that is much less advanced than they are would disrupt their whole system and likely lead to their extinction. <br><br>In other words, advanced alien civilizations have realized that the best way to avoid causing the death of an uncontacted tribe is to leave them alone and let them figure it out for themselves. <br><br>If this is true, then humans likely have thousands of years to go before anyone contacts us. It's like that movie Avatar where the humans had been observing them for years without saying anything and only made contact once they realized that the invaders were there to stay. <br><br>I guess what I'm saying is that there's a good reason why they call them UFOs and not Alien Spaceships. It's because they don't think that they're run by aliens, but rather by humans or human-like creatures that are observing us to figure out our intentions.
