Why does everyone make productivity so complicated?

Everyday I see so many posts about productivity. So many different theories and techniques like GTD and Pomodoro. So many apps and digital tools used. Hacks and tips.

I feel like it is not about how much you know, but how much you do. It is so simple.

Wake up, get to work. Finish your tasks. Move on to the next.

I get up, go to work, work, I go to the gym, I have dinner, I watch some tv, and I do 3 hours of work before bed.

Waking up is not an issue. I am not lazy. I’m self disciplined and self motivated. I have a good work ethic. That’s how you get shit done. Not by some trendy technique or method. I am not lazy. I am self disciplined. I have a good work ethic.

It seems like everyone wants to be more productive but people make excuses about why they can’t. I think it’s bullshit. If you want to do it then you will. It’s not that hard.

Edit:
For those of you who disagree or think I am arrogant I'd love to hear your opinions. I'm not trying to be confrontational.
