What is the least plausible part of your world?

Unprompted by anything in particular, I am reminded of a passage from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. In this passage, Douglas Adams describes how the babelfish automatic translator is the most implausible thing in the universe.

> ...the poor man didn't know whether he was going mad, whether he was going to get his Dec. degree in Applied Lunacy, or whether his future career in government service was going to be dedicated to constructing roads in Peru.

He goes on to explain how, by making an impossible device possible, Arthur Dent is able to hold on to his sanity in the face of an insane universe. Which got me thinking, what if instead of getting the translator, he got the insane device the government would use to make all the roads in Peru?

So, what would happen if he, and the rest of your world, had to deal with your magic (or science) and find a way to make it all stick together?

I'll go first.

In my world, the primary magic system is called The Pattern, which is based on string theory and Sacred Geometry. Everything in the cosmos is connected and manipulated by strings that are connected in a web of geometric shapes that cross dimensions. Magicians picture The Pattern in their minds to connect the strings in a way that allows them to accomplish magic.

With this in place, we can have magick in the world, but how would that work in a science classroom? How would it function in a hospital or a lab? Magic is all well and good, but what about your engineers and your programmers, how would the mundane sciences function in a world where the laws of physics don't always apply.

This is where I think other people can jump in and help me out. I'm not a trained physicist or doctor, I don't know how physics or medicine actually work in the real world, so when I'm trying to apply those principles in a world where magic exists, I'm just making it up as I go along, and the internal consistency of your world becomes harder and harder to deal with.

So, I ask now, what is the least plausible part of your world, and what are you doing to deal with it?

EDIT: I've never made a successful post on Chambers, I'd like to thank everyone for the feedback.
