No one's ever said Europe is too stressing to visit, yet nearly everyone agrees America is very stressing to visit now

I'm a Canadian, and I recently went to Spain with my sister. We had an amazing time there, and my sister is now planning on moving to Spain to study abroad.

I've been to a few places in Europe now, and I've never once felt unsafe or stressed. I'm sure there are certain places in Europe that I wouldn't want to visit, but Europe is just as big as America. There really is no comparison in terms of danger and security. The stressing thing is that I hear from other Canadians and people from other countries that they do not want to visit North America anymore.

I don't understand why so many people from other countries believe that America is so unsafe and stressing when it's really not. Sure there had been a lot of gun violence, but the chances of being in a place where there is gun violence is super rare. I do feel like there are just as many places to avoid in Europe like Paris, Berlin, and other places that are similar to cities like Miami, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, in terms of safety.

What I think is the issue is Europe's cities are really just made of old, walkable streets, and they are really built for walking and public transportation vs. cities in North America which are built for cars and trucks. There is way more crime in cities built for cars and trucks cuz they're built for speed rather than for walkers, which makes it easier for crime and gang activity to occur.

We are at a massive turning point, and I think the next 20 years will be crucial. I think America will either become an extremely poor and unsafe country, or the next 20 years will be a big turning point which will help bring the North American countries to be just as safe and secure as Europe and other places.
