How does ChatGPT calculate human intuition and how does it determine when to pause when continuing a story or such, how does it know how to end a story

Like I will say create a new story where this and that happens and then it creates a new story and it knows how to end it, why does it know how to end the story in that way, why does it know where to pause and when. I can’t even write a story myself and it is doing this for me. How does it even know how to make a story from scratch?
