A question for Spanish learners!

I read a couple of threads here about the difference in accents and how sometimes American and British English speakers can struggle to understand each other. It made me curios about how different Spanish dialects are. What is your perception as a learner? Have you ever had a hard time understanding people from different countries who speak Spanish? <br><br>TIA
