best budget laptop

i’m a newbie and am trying to be more mindful of my spending (specifically on electronics). at the moment, i have a new iPad 12.9 pro (best tablet ever) and a lenovo chromebook. my budget for a laptop is $500-$600 range. with this budget range, what are the top 5 best value laptops? when i tried to do the research on my own, i just find myself overwhelmed by the numerous choices. i know there are consumers out there with good experiences with laptops and find great value in them. i’m not a tech geek so a lot of the information relating to processors, ram, and storage go over my head. i’m just looking for the top 5 best value laptops for a budget under $600. anyone have any recommendations? thank you!
