I work at a high school on the very conservative side of the country.

It's been getting more and more tense with pro-LGBT students vs anti-LGBT students.

We use a program to monitor the kids when they're on their laptops, and have access to look at their browser history. We also have the ability to look at the emails they send (for some reason, the district email has everyone's email visible to administrators).

Well, we discovered that one of the more... radical students had been emailing a student with a couple bragging emails about how they beat someone up for having a pride flag on their backpack.

The student in question is not in any of my classes, but we know who they are because of the emails. And they have bragged about it in class (not mine) before.

The student they beat up is in my class. I see them every day. And I know nothing about what happened. And I'm just sitting there watching them like nothing happened, because nothing in my power can be done. And that just makes me feel like shit, because I know there's another student in the school that brags about beating them up.
