Hugs not Drugs

I'm getting multiple prayers and godbless's even though I specifically stated that I'm not Christian.

I'm getting multiple posts stating that I should get a job. I already work six days a week at two jobs and can only get one more, which is at McDonalds.

I live in a Grand Canyon city, and the Grand Canyon is the main attraction here. The city's economy is in shambles due to the virus and I am unemployed. So, my city council decided to lift the stay at home restrictions and instead enact the "Hugs not Drugs" plan. It's crazy.

So, in an effort to entertain myself and everyone else in this chamber, I'm going to play the homeless person. We're going to play it like a game. It's a little like Dungeons and Dragons but it's more modern and a lot more realistic even though it's not really realistic. I know most of you have never been homeless before but trust me, I know what I'm doing. This game is a lot more realistic than what you see in the news. I've been homeless for months and I've gotten a good idea of what works and what doesn't.

Anyway, this is the scenario:

* I'm a 30 year old homeless man.
* I'm an alcoholic with Schizoaffective disorder.
* I live in a 3 person tent with only one person.
* I have a cell phone with a 1 year contract, and a portable charger from this sub.
* I have two jobs, one at McDonalds and another at Subway. Together they make 600$ monthly.
* I have applied to many other jobs in the area, but hiring is slow.
* I have an upcoming appointment for a haircut and a doctors appointment.
* I have 100$ cash, and 50$ in prepaid Subway gift cards.
* I live in an area where it snows in the winter, and gets really hot in the summer.
* My tent is in a spot where there's an overnight sprinkler system, so I have to set it up and take it down every night.
* I have a 50 pound backpack with 10 pounds worth of weights to keep my tent down.
* I have a blanket, a sleeping bag, a sleeping pad, and a rain poncho.
* I have two bottles of hand sanitizer, and a pack of Clorox wipes.
* I have two large bottles of mouthwash, and a pack of Craisins.
* I have a wallet with my ID in it.
* I have a very small first aid kit.
* I've read the entire "Homeless in Philly" post and the "unofficial guide to being homeless" post.
* I have no drugs except for Klonopin, Zyprexa, and Lamictal.
* I've watched the "Don't Let Me Go" movie and I've played the "Homeless" video game.

Okay, so I just woke up, and I'm feeling pretty good today. I'm not too drunk, although I did have a drink last night. My tent is still standing, and I think it's only because of the 10 pounds of weights. The sprinklers didn't come on last night, but I still have to pack everything up because of the heat today.

I get out of my tent and it's 90 degrees outside. I have to reorganize all of my stuff, and then I have to lug it all around and find some shade. It's kind of an adventure because I don't know exactly where I'm going.

What do I do?

A: Head North on the highway. This would take me to a Walmart, and a little park. If I'm lucky, I could find a little Alcohol there or maybe get into a fight.
B: Head South on the highway and take a bus to Jerimiah's. This is my home base and the spot where I can get my mail, do my laundry, and maybe even get a hot meal.
C: Head down to the wash. This is a pretty cool place. There's a lot of cats down there and there's shade. I can probably find some cans to recycle, or some old food to eat.
D: Head East on the highway. This is my favorite route. There's a lot of trees, so I get some shade. There's a park right after the road ends, and that's where the Greyhound station is. I could probably get a lot of odd jobs done on the way there, and I could get some more information about the area.
E: Head West on the highway. I don't usually go this way because it's the highway, and it's hot. I usually like to keep a low profile, especially because I'm homeless. I don't want to get in trouble. But, if I head West, there's a whole different part of town to explore.
F: Go to the library. I could finally get on Chambers and maybe even stream some Netflix. I could charge my phone and read some books on my kindle. I can relax and stay cool.
G: Go to the bus stop. I could go anywhere with the bus, and I finally get some air conditioning.
H: Go to the Post Office. I don't have any stamps, but I could spam some junk mail to my friends and family.
I: Go to the Event Center. There's probably something going on, so I wonder what it is today?
J: Go to the park. I could look for some Aluminium cans to recycle and maybe get some OJ or something.
K: Go South. I could catch a bus to the Sam's Club or the hospital. There's also a few other places around there that I've noticed.
L: Go to the Starbucks. I'm pretty sure they're closed, but I could probably get some food somewhere.
M: Go to the McDonalds. I could get to work early and hopefully get some free food. My manager saw me in a Safeway the other day with a bottle of mouthwash. But I think she still likes me.
N: Go to the Subway. Same as McDonalds, I could get to work early and get some more free food. I just need to stay away from the manager, because she doesn't like me.
O: Go to the Safeway. I got in some trouble here the other day for trying to recycle a wine bottle, but maybe I could get some more free food.
P: Go to the liquor store. I don't have any money, but I know the owner. Maybe I could get a free drink or a free beer.

What do I do?

So, it's 90 degrees outside, and I have to lug my stuff around and try to find some shade. I'm also thirsty, and I desperately want a drink. I've been wandering around for a little while, and I think I'm going to head down to the wash. There's shade there, and maybe I can find some cans to recycle.
