A comment I heard 10 years ago at work helped me understand that men can never and should never feel sorry for a single mother.

When I was a young man I worked with an older (married, kids, etc.) man who told me “a man with kids in a deadbeat is bad, but at least his kids have a mother. A single mother is 100% to blame. She either 1) was careless with her body, 2) was too stupid to know that birth control exists, or 3) is too lazy to get an abortion. It’s 100% her fault and she should never get any sympathy.” I think about this often now that I’m in my 30s and the single mom thing is getting old.<br><br>She has a child she can’t afford to support the way she wants. She sucks, not my problem.<br><br>Edit: Wow, this really hit a nerve with females and simp males. It’s not like I’m advocating we round up single moms and their children and shoot them like farm animals. I’m simply saying they shouldn’t receive any sympathy from anyone and should have to support their own children.
