Is anyone else just completely defeated by this economy?

Here is a brief summary of my problems with this economy. <br>1. Housing -I don't have a savings, so if I was to loose my job I would not be able to stay in my small apartment. I have to work 2 jobs. If I had a 3rd job I might be able to save up for a house, but that might take 10 or 15 years. In the mean time I have to pay rent. I would have to drastically cut back on spending. <br><br>2. Healthcare - I have no savings. I'm in my early 40's. If something happens to me, I'm done; unless I can go on disability, which I've heard is a nightmare to get. <br><br>3. Food and Gas - Lets just say I go without a lot. <br><br>I've always been hopeful that our economic and political systems can be fixed. I'm no longer hopeful.
