If... or when... childfree men say they want kids, do they get the same response from other people as women do?

So I read a lot about how women are told to “wait until you meet the right guy” or “you’ll change your mind” and I was curious if men in general go through the same thing. Or are men generally not judged and accepted when they say they’re childfree?
