CMV: If you are looking for a change in the economy, focus on the next two midterm elections. It's the only way you will ever see a change.

Over the last six years I’ve come to the conclusion that the heads at the top of the big companies are not going to let go of their claws. It’s inevitable to make money and conduct business like that. I feel people are looking for change from Trump and the next president, but outside of them breaking up these big companies, how would they change the economy? The rich are still going to be rich and the poor are still going to be poor. The next president could come out and create the smallest tax on corporations and they will likely pass that expense on to the consumer, which will likely be the lower class. I’ve come to the conclusion the next president is not going to be able to make a significant change for the people. I think looking to the next two midterm elections will be where your priorities should be. You need to focus on getting representatives who are looking out for you and your interest no matter what. If that happens we can start to make a change. I think looking to the next president for a change is pointless.

EDIT: I understand that most don’t agree with my premise. I was looking more for reasons why they don’t agree. I’m open to being wrong and I’m open to hearing why people think the next president is the key to change. I appreciate everyone who has commented so far.
