My husband hates disabled people.

I'm seriously lost right now and don't even know what to do. My (38M) husband "Mark" and I (41F) have been together for six years and married for three. We have a three year old daughter "Candace" (4 now actually a few days ago).

Candace was born with a genetic condition which caused her to have severe developmental delays. Due to this she is non-verbal (though she says a few words here and there) and has issues walking due to hypotonia. She is likely going to need some level of assistance for the rest of her life.

I love my daughter. Even though having a child with disabilities is difficult, seeing her do things she couldn't do before is a great feeling. Getting her to do something most kids can do without any issues is amazing to me. Even though it's difficult, she's a complete blessing. I couldn't imagine not having her in my life. It's rough, but she's my daughter and she's my responsibility as a mother.

I wish my husband felt the same way. He's grown increasingly resentful of Candace for the past two years and now straight up hates her. To him she's a "burden." He complains about her nonstop, about how difficult it is to deal with her and how it affects him. He resents her for the fact we don't have the spare money we used to. He gets angry with her over minor issues, like when she throws food. He got fed up with her one night and called her a "piece of shit" in front of her.

He started doing this before the COVID stuff hit, and when we were forced to stay home things got worse. I've been begging him to get help but he won't. I've suggested marriage counseling to get over this resentment but he doesn't want to.

I just don't know what to do anymore. Candace has started hearing his negative remarks and it breaks my heart. She's tried to interact with him but he treats her like she's inhuman. I don't want my daughter to hear these horrible things. I want to leave but I don't know what to do. We're about to file for bankruptcy because my job got shut down and we didn't get any stimulus money. I'm barely getting by at the moment and am job hunting.

This is my situation. I don't know what to do.
