the AI hype is over. the anxiety is done.

I guess if you've been here long enough you have seen it, but the hysteria phase, the anxiety phase, the "they're gonna kill us all omg" phase, the "they can do every job and replace us" phase, is now... over. The focus is shifting to "man, we should have been more responsible when developing this, this is bad".<br>We can still, reasonably expect some kind of AI regulation in the US. No matter how hard the corporations try to prevent it, the hype is now over. Let's hope they don't scrub it under the rug.<br>If you ever felt the dread, the existential fear, the awful feeling that you don't have a future, well, it might just have been for nothing.<br>And that's great.
