I bet the family of pepsican would rather drop him off in a dumpster to advance in life than to be tied down to him.

I don't know if that will actually happen to him but regardless I am certain his family or anyone with a vested in him would not want to see him tied down to him. Many single mothers have ditched their children or have limited contact because they didn't want to drag their children weighing them down.
