AITA for telling my brother to pay me for the laptop that I used to graduate college?

My mom got me a laptop to use while I was in college. Before she gave it to me, she asked my oldest brother if he wanted it. He is 2 years older than me and is currently attending college. He told her that that laptop was for a little kid because it is so old. So she gave me the laptop and I used it to graduate college. I never had a single problem with the laptop and I still have it. <br><br>My brother will be graduating college soon and he has only a desktop. He doesn't have a laptop. And he is now envious of my laptop. He asked my mom if he could have the laptop because I am working and can buy myself a new one. My mom asked me and I told her I would rather sell it than give it to him. He doesn't need it and I need the money. <br><br>He got very upset and said that the laptop belongs to him since mom offered it to him first. He said he was just a kid and didn't know that he would be needing a laptop in the future. He told me to take the laptop and said that he would pay me back if I sell it to him. But I don't want to sell it to him. I am afraid he will take the laptop and not pay me. <br><br>I told mom that I would rather sell it to someone else than sell it to my brother and mom said there is no need for that. I told her again that I don't want to give it to him and she said that she would pay me for the laptop so I can give it to him. I told her I was going to sell it for $700 but she said she only had $500. <br><br>I told her I would sell it to him for $500 and she agreed to pay me. My brother took the laptop from my house and he didn't even give me the $500. He just took the laptop and left. When I called him to ask for the money, he said he doesn't have the money and that he said he would pay me back when he's paid from work. I told him that he needs to pay me back or give me back the laptop. <br><br>He told me I should give him the laptop because I already got paid from mom. I was very upset and I told him that mom only paid me $500 because she doesn't have $700. I need my $200 and he needs to pay me. He got very angry and called me a little bitch and slammed the phone down. <br><br>Now my brother and his friends are calling me names on social media saying that I am a very selfish little sister who doesn't give anything to her older brother. They said I am so horrible for asking for $700 because I only bought the laptop for $400. Some said it's horrible because the laptop is too old.
