I always thought I’d be a dad one day but the last few years have made me realize how much I don’t want to be a parent.

I’m in my mid twenties now and always thought I’d be a dad when I was older, 30s or 40s. I love kids and am great with them and I come from a big family with many siblings and cousins and love having a big family but the more I grow older the more I realize I don’t want to be a parent. I’m starting to feel so much better about saying no to that but I’m worried about people questioning me saying “but you’re great with kids” “you’d make a great father” but at the end of the day I don’t want to be one and I’m okay with that. I’m not sure what just made me feel awful about having kids but now I just know I don’t want to be a dad.
