Is it lack of experience on my end or companies asking for 3+ years of experience?

I applied for 14 jobs in the last 2 weeks. I graduated in December 2023 with a degree in data science. 2 internships in the field, a research scholarship in data science, team project. I don't think it's a lack of experience on my end. What's going on?
