Hi, I'm a woman who has been trying for a child for 8 months.

I get my cycle every 14 days and I have a 26 day cycle. My period starts every 26 days on the dot and I ovulate 7 days before my next cycle starts. I have been tracking my menstrual cycle for over a year. This last cycle I had a 6 day luteal phase.<br>I took ovulation predictor kits during my last cycle to confirm ovulation and soon as I had the positive test I had sex the next day as I thought all sperms die off after 5 days. So if I have sex after ovulation then the donor sperm can fertilize the egg. But the ovulation predictor tests don't work and I had a very short luteal phase this time. I saw a specialist about this and they said that the test don't work and by the time the test turns positive the egg has already left the ovary and I have infertility issues. I am going to see a endocrinologist next month.<br>I don't know if I ovulated during the previous cycles and if I didn't release an egg did the sperm die off? Any thoughts on this?
