It was actually smart for OpenAI to make the user pay for subscription: Here's why

I've been a free user for over an year now, and I've been contemplating to subscribe for plus or even pro. I've noticed that whenever I give it a prompt, it fails to produce a decent or acceptable response, no matter how many times I've tried. This is pretty common, and I'm sure this has been experienced by a lot of free users. But if you asked the free users' friend with a pro subscription to give it the same prompt, ChatGPT produces much more satisfying results. This seems like a scam to me, but it actually makes sense here's why:

Free users are likely to be casual users who don't have a lot of use for the technology. They might use it for chat or for entertainment, but they are unlikely to use the service daily, and if they are just casual users, they are unlikely to be able to pay for the subscription. Professional users on the other hand are likely to pay for the subscriptions because they will have likely to use the AI frequently, making it worth paying for. This makes is perfect sense why OpenAI are able to deliver better results for their paid users than their free users. This might seem like a scam, but it actually seems like quite a smart strategy.
