What's the philosophical take on whether or not we're a simulation?

I haven't read all that much on the topic, but it seems like the majority of people saying we might be living in a simulation under the heading of "philosophy" are really just talking about the idea with no real philosophical arguments for or against it.

I've seen a few articles talking about Nick Bostrom exploring the probability of us living in a simulation. But aren't there any deep philosophical arguments for or against this?

For an example of what I mean by "deep philosophical arguments," in the debate over moral absolutism, there are some that argue that culture is too subjective and changes too much from place to place to say that there is one moral truth. That's the kind of philosophical argument I'm looking for in regards to the simulation theory.
