I don't think people really know how to do critiquing anymore

It seems like a lot of people are complaining about our critiquing standard and others are asking for harsher critiques. I'm guilty of this too as I do ask for harsher critiques when I post. <br><br>I've been seeing a lot of complaints from people who say they want harsher critiques but when they get them they complain. I think the issue is we don't know how to critique anymore. I think we should be able to give our opinion and an explanation on why we feel that way. I feel like I am pretty good at critiquing now but when I first joined I was very bad. I think people who are especially new to writing are not good at critiquing. I think we need to figure out how to critique better. Or people need to stop seeing only bad things when we critique. Or people need to stop asking for harsher critiques when they don't want them. How do you guys feel?
