I want to live out of a small bag and travel the world. But I don’t know where to begin

I’m 19 and just finished my 1st year of college. I’m starting to feel really overwhelmed by a lot of things. Trying to juggle school, work, making money, my mental health, my social life, my relationships, and my “things” is starting to feel too much and I don’t know where to start getting rid of all of these problems (especially the last one).

I realize that I get extremely anxious when I spend time in my room because it’s cluttered and I have too much stuff so I don’t want to be in it. There’s food, clothes, furniture, books, notes, trash, everything, and I don’t know what to do with any of it. I don’t, however, want to throw anything out because I’m afraid I might need it later.

I’ve realized that I want to live out of a small bag and travel the world, but I don’t know where to start. I don’t know how to get rid of all of this stuff, or how to make money to fund my travels, or how to find people to travel with, or just anything. I know I’m a mess and it’s very hard to explain exactly what I’m feeling, but I know I need to get my life together and I don’t know how to do that.

How did you start your minimalist journey? Do you have any tips?
