The ‘popular kids’ don’t get enough sympathy

When I was at school I was kinda bullied for being of a different race, and all the teachers were very sympathetic. When I got my GCSE results one of the heads of Year 11 actually had a hug for me, which was nice.

The ‘popular kids’ aren’t the ones starting fights, or causing problems. In fact they’re probably a great influence on everyone, as I remember their presence always helped brighten up everyone’s day. Yet no one has a hug for them on results day. The teachers are all to busy trying to comfort Jimmy who got a U in Resistant Materials and Janey who got a N in her English Lit exam, but when it comes to Emily who got straight As, and was in St. Barts, it’s all like oh good for you.
