Most people who hated anime in the past are now into cute anime girls

I've never liked anime, hated the style, hated the fans and the culture. However, I always noticed this 'shock' this 'alarm' like an instinct when I saw an anime girl, especially a cute character, it's hard to describe but it's like an alarm blaring off, making me stop whatever I was doing, and go to that cute anime girl. Everything else in anime, for me, is just an excuse for cute girls and I bet it's the same for many people, we want those girls in the anime and to some extent, we don't really care about the story, the setting, the characters, etc. We just want to look at those cute girls, and to be honest, it's pretty creepy. I don't even like anime girls or anime itself, I just find myself drawn into it for reasons I don't really understand, maybe it's my brain getting wired to like it, maybe it's because anime has gotten popular. I just can't explain why I find myself constantly checking out cute anime girls when I shouldn't. It's like a lot of people are into it now and for some reason, I'm starting to like it and I shouldn't, I just don't like it but my brain is telling me otherwise, I don't know what's happening
