AITA for kicking my SiL out after she compared my cooking to fast food?

My (28M) wife "Jennifer" (27F) comes from a wealthy background. After university she worked as a chef in a high end restaurant, she is now a stay at home mom.

Her sister "Kate" (29F) also worked in high end restaurants, but now she works as a personal chef for a rich family.

Kate is 2 years older than Jennifer and has always treated her like her inferior. She is very condescending towards her and I've noticed she talks down to her a lot.

She looks down on anyone who works in a normal restaurant instead of a high end one. But she seems to have even more contempt for people who don't work in restaurants at all.

Last weekend Kate visited to watch our house while we went on a weekend getaway with the kids.

Before we left I prepared a frozen Beef Strogannoff. It's one of these pre made dishes of beef, sauce and pasta that you just leave in the oven for 45 mins to 1hr then it's ready.

When we returned we noticed there was some leftover beef strogannoff in the fridge. We asked Kate if she ate it and she said it was too disgusting to finish in one sitting. We then asked her what she meant and she said the strogannoff tasted like fast food from a chain restaurant.

I took this as an insult to my cooking and told her she shouldn't be rude. She laughed and said "You didn't cook, you defrosted like you always do." This went back and forth for a while until I eventually lost my temper and kicked her out of the house.

Now I'm being told by my in laws, and even my wife that I went too far. They think I was being too sensitive and should have just shrugged off her comment.
