How do women see feeding their husband / boyfriend?

I've been together with my girlfriend for 6 years and she keeps telling me that I really nourished her while she was sick. I was just feeding her feeding her and helping her with household chores, but she says it's a big gesture. I'm not really sure because many men say that cooking for your partner is a waste of time
