Context: A Hindu friend of mine was stalked home in Thane and beaten by a violent man when he tried to resist because his girlfriend was wearing a dress that was deemed "indec*nt" by the scumbag who took offence to it. She faced a lot of verbal abuse and was forced to apologise and delete her social media accounts.<br><br>Source: I'd rather not reveal it, but anyone from Mumbai will let you know that the same thing happened to another Hindu woman who was beaten up for some other reason (she was out partying till 2am)<br><br>I strongly urge every Hindu to be aware of your surroundings when you go out partying or clubbing or even your everyday things as the threat is real.<br><br>The most unfortunate part is that there is little awareness about this and I hear so many people say "it's not my/our fault" and then go and do nothing (not that I blame them). <br><br>&#x200B;
