AITA for throwing away all the groceries my husband bought because he spent our date money on beer?

I recently realized that I was going to be getting some money from an inheritance my father left me when he went away. The money is still locked up so I won’t actually be getting it for a while, but my husband and I thought it would be nice to make plans for a vacation. I haven’t been on an actual vacation in years. I love to travel but we haven’t had the money to do so.

When our savings account reached the amount we agreed on, we decided we were finally going to go on vacation. Our first vacation together in years. We were both super excited, I already bought the tickets.
But, this morning when I saw that my husband got home with a lot of groceries, I immediately noticed that he’d bought a lot of my least favourite foods. He never usually does that, so I went to ask him if I could give some of it away to the people at work, and that’s when he told me that he had spent the money on beer.

That’s not even the worse part. We had a big fight over the groceries, because he insisted that I prepare all of it for dinner, and I told him that I wasn’t going to do that. He kept pushing for me to make dinner and I shut myself up in the bedroom after that.

I was so angry that I decided to throw away all the groceries and he completely lost it at me. I threw them away because I didn’t want him to get the satisfaction of eating and getting drunk while I had to stay home and not go on the vacation that I’ve been waiting for for years.

He’s furious with me for wasting food and money, and he says I’m being petty and spiteful. I know that what I did was actually shitty, but I honestly couldn’t help myself.
