Living in an apartment with no kitchen

We are aiming to move somewhere more expensive in the city so we can be able to walk to work. The only problem is that the apartments are all at least double our current rent. I know prices are going up everywhere around the world right now, but this is ridiculous.

We think we've found a solution. One of the places has a room for rent with shared bathroom, and a nice balcony. We can probably put a microwave and a fridge in the room. We just need to figure out how to cook stuff.

Has anyone lived like that before? How did you eat? We are very health conscious.

We will also have to deal with living in a shared apartment in the end, but we're not considering that right now, only the food problem.
