Childfree woman considering dating a guy with a daughter.

I'd like the perspectives of people who may have been in similar situations. I'm 27 cosmetologist and live alone. I'm not opposed to hanging out with children but I'm just not the kid type. This week I went on a date with a 30 year old with a 6 year old. He said they're in the process of a divorce and he has her a few nights a week. I don't know if it's worth it as I am childfree and he's not. I'm not sure how to bring this up with him, but I told him as much. He's very sweet and I would like to see where it goes with him. I told him I am willing to give it a chance but I am not sure I am ready for this. I have no experience with children.
