How did the American perception of Slavs change after the Cold War?

We went from the evil, disgusting communists to...well...basically nothing. From my observation, there is now more public awareness of Eastern European issues, and now we have a much more favorable image.<br><br>Edit: By “Slavs” I’m referring mostly to Russians, Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Ukraine, Belarus, and Romania
