This was a very strange day

Ok I'm going to tell you about two things that happened today and ask you whether or not you believe this is the work of a glitch or not. Even if it's not a glitch, it's still kinda spooky that these events happened on the same day but so far apart.

Event 1: I went to shoot some targets in a very dense forest that borders my property. I shoot all kinds of weapons, but today I decided to bring two scoped rifles and a 9mm pistol. At one point I went to the pistol to test it. I did a quick function check which I always do before shooting a pistol. (That's where you load the mag, put it in the gun, pull the trigger and the hammer should be cocked, pull the trigger again and it should pull the double action trigger.) I loaded the pistol and cocked the hammer, then pulled the trigger. When I cocked it, I had the hammer sitting on the cylinder just above the primer. When I pulled the trigger and it was still cocked, it was still on that cylinder. I double checked the hammer, the cylinder, and the the trigger and hammer pin, and none of them were locked. I cocked the hammer and pulled the trigger 100 times and the hammer never moved. I assumed that the trigger had somehow gotten locked to the hammer somewhere and the hammer wasn't allowed to be pulled. I decided to bring it up to my camp to get some tools to figure it out. I was really confused because it made no sense.

Event 2: I went up to camp to put the pistol in a bag and bring it home where I could work on it later. Then I realized I had left the bag of targets in the car. I went back to the car and opened it to get the bag. While driving the car I noticed that my gas gauge had gone down a quarter of a tank even though I had only driven a short distance. I opened the car door to grab the targets and noticed the gas gauge was still on. I clicked the ignition switch and the lights and radio started working but nothing on the dash lit up. I turned the ignition switch off, and then back on, and the dash lit up again. I clicked it off and on about 20 times and only once did the dash not light up. I decided to rule this out as a glitch and drove the car a short distance and noticed the speedometer wasn't working. I kept going and the dash lights weren't working, including the headlights. I clicked the switch off and on and the dash came back on. After that the speedometer started working again. I was going to stop but decided to keep going. When it started raining I turned the wipers on but none of them worked. I stopped at the side of the road and turned the ignition off and on and they worked. From that point on, nothing else happened. Still weird.

So what do you think? Was this a case of a glitch or a coincidence?
